Urban Consultants Fiji is a locally owned, Pacific-led, interdisciplinary consultancy business. Our mission is to support communities, businesses, and governments in tackling the region's most pressing climate and environmental challenges with innovative solutions rooted in local contexts.
Based in Fiji, we draw from the Pacific's deep cultural heritage and rich environmental knowledge to inform everything we do. While our team may be small, our approach is robust, spanning disciplines and expertise to ensure our solutions are holistic, practical, and effective.
Our work is guided by a profound understanding of the Pacific's realities – from climate change and environmental degradation to economic vulnerability and social inequalities. Founder
Vinay Singh
Vinay Singh, the founder of Urban Consultants (Fiji), is a proud Pacific Islander whose vision is deeply inspired by his personal journey. Growing up in a vulnerable community, Vinay experienced firsthand the challenges faced by many Pacific Islanders – from climate risks to socio-economic hardships. This lived experience is the foundation of his work, which aims to empower the most vulnerable communities in the region.
Vinay is a recognised leader in climate change adaptation and nature-based solutions (NbS), with over 2 decades of experience driving transformative projects across the Pacific. His expertise spans climate change adaptation, nature-based solutions, project development, monitoring and evaluation, project management and climate grant proposal development.
